Letca Media: El Recluso of TIS could be easily compared to any great Hollywood production

Jorge Colón, partner and creative director of Letca Media, showrunner of the Telemundo Internacional Studios´s (TIS) first original series, El Recluso, expressed that this production is something unseen in a Hispanic series. “It could be easily compared to any great Hollywood production. It was made with that intention, to prove we are capable of making a high-quality product,” he highlighted.

Colón directed the first three episodes of the series and will do the same with the end of the series. The shootings of El Recluso end in February. “This adaptation of El Marginal is something different, out of the ordinary. Our jail has to do with migration, borders, the US. It is a bilingual product,” explained the director.

The series was shot in Mexico City, in a jail built from zero for the production. “It has thirteen episodes and we hope they are a hit and that much more will come. The region had never had a series like this,” he ended.
