Looking ahead to 2026, Eric Turpin, General Manager of HITN, continues to see opportunities with Hispanic audiences. “We will continue to see that many U.S. distributors are primarily focused on retaining and attracting Hispanic customers through new opportunities and emerging realities.”
Hispanics will remain key for content in both English and Spanish. In ongoing acquisitions, HITN also sees possibilities for offering content packages targeted to this segment.
“We are hopeful that once the merger between Cox Communications and Charter goes through, there will be some opportunities for us there,” the executive comments. “Both Comcast and Charter have created OTT versions of their packages for Latinos, and that has been very successful for both sides,” he adds. “There are new efforts, new energy, new opportunities.”
Turpin’s remarks were made during the 23rd Annual Hispanic Television Summit in New York.
