Companies and people are transforming during the pandemic

The pandemic has brought a moment of reflection and transformation that will establish the foundation for the change both people and companies require for a future that is already here. This is one of the reflections that took place in the talk in which Cynthia Hudson, VP and GM of CNN En Español, and Sharon Zyman, GM of WarnerMedia Mexico and Colombia, during the first day of WICT Latin America´s annual event, Reset & Forward Creating Leaders TogetHER.

One of the first changes this moment imposes is a new type of leadership as well as to transform the way companies work. This was something both Hudson and Zyman agreed on. In this sense, it is vital to create flexible and diverse companies. To overcome the pandemic without any type of learning will have been a great waste of time, they assured.
Zyman commented that, given the explosion in the consumption of contents, from the business side you have to be highly relevant, because “no one is going to give a minute of your time if you aren’t valuable for their lives”, after highlighting that it is necessary to find the balance between screens and personal real-time. “This pandemic has to do with a trip inside ourselves,” she emphasized.

Hudson expressed that the pandemic forces us to think about the type of planet and society we are building. “I hope we will remember this moment as a deep transformation in society,” she said.
