Discovery Networks Latin America/U.S. Hispanic (DLA/USH), announced that Adeline Cassin, VP for Discovery Digital Ad Sales will participate as panelist at The Social TV Summit to take place in Miami on March 1st, where top-industry executives will discuss how the major Hispanic and Latin American cable networks and programmers are establishing social TV strategies to keep viewers engaged and generate new revenue streams.“As worldwide leading providers of non-fiction media content, Discovery is in a privileged position to expand its vast content outreach through digital platforms both to enhance the experience of our viewers as well as our partners,” said Adeline Cassin, VP for Discovery Digital Ad Sales, DLA/USH. “The Social TV Summit in Miami offers a great opportunity for us to share our best practices and experience with our Spanish-speaking audience,” she added.According to most recent research data, by 2014 it is projected that half of the total Hispanic population in the United States will be in social networks. In Latin America, social media sites already reach 97% of the internet population (according to eMarkerter) and its usage while watching TV is on the rise. Indeed, according to a Nielsen report, Latin America’s consumption of social media while watching TV is already higher than that in Europe and Asia Pacific.
