América TeVe launched Rompe el silencio, corre la voz (Break the Silence, Spread the Word), a social awareness campaign, against domestic violence.América TeVe, personalities: María Laria, Yossie Galindo, Juan Manuel Cao, Nelson Bustamante, Fernando Hidalgo, Óscar Haza, Carlos Otero, Alejandra Molina, Félix Guillermo, and Leana Astorga unite their voices in solidarity with all victims of this social scourge.”The goal of our campaign is to raise awareness in society that this is a problem that affects us all and we can not allow this to continue. Many times the victims of domestic violence suffer in silence not knowing where to go. The important thing is to know that there is help and attend to it before it’s too late, “said Natalie Romay, Director of Community Relations for América TeVe.Omar Romay, president and CEO of the network added: “América TeVe team is aware of the seriousness of this problem that destroys our families and therefore, we strive every day to prevent these unfortunate cases in our community.”The public service campaign consists of a series of television commercials to be broadcast on the network’s screen. For the realization of the pieces, the channel counted with the testimony of several victims who were part of the factual reality show 7 Días (Seven Days), hosted by Leana Astorga, in which these stories were presented.
