The production company Animal de Luz, creator of films like La Jaula de Oro and Busco Novio Para Mi Mujer, is in charge of producing the new series Las 13 Esposas by Wilson Fernández (13x60'), Mexican version of the Argentinean series that has the same title, which will be available on the Blim platform. "The director Jorge Colón arrived with this project original by Gastón Portal, made in Argentina with the title Las 13 Esposas de Wilson Fernández, and we found it to be a very intelligent project, with a crazy text and very creative. We already started shooting and still don’t have an exact date for the debut, but we know it will be available on the Blim platform and on Televisa on open TV,” mentioned Inna Payán, founder and producer of Animal de Luz. The star will be Martín Altomaro and the female cast that will play the roles of his wives include Sofía Espinoza, Paulina Dávila, Jimena Romo, Casandra Sánchez Navarro, Ilse Salas, Zuria Vega, Esmeralda Pimentel, Carla Nieto, Alejandra Ambrosi, among others. He mentioned that the fact that it is a Mexican version will allow them to depict this country, and said that “the story begins in 1985 with the earthquake, and each episode will give us the change to talk about popular culture, the present and the past of this country.” The shooting started on July 11 and will end on September 16th in Mexico City. Gastón Portal and Jorge Colón are scene directors and Alejandro Cantú, photography director.
