Julie Tran, director of Multicultural Programming at AT&T U-verse spoke with PRODU about the launch of Cine Estelar and Cine Nostalgia on U-verse and the company’s commitment to diverse programming. “Cine Estelar and Cine Nostalgia are terrific additions to our existing Spanish-language programming,” said Tran. “AT&T U-verse customers will be delighted with the large selection of Spanish-language movies and original programming that Cine Estelar and Cine Nostalgia have to offer.”“Our U-verse Movies library offers thousands of hours of On Demand titles including a robust selection of original Spanish movies, children’s programs and Spanish versions of popular new releases,” continued Tran. “We offer a variety of options that allow you to bundle U-verse TV Spanish-language packages with U-verse High-Speed Internet, U-verse Voice and/or AT&T wireless services for significant monthly savings.”In addition to expanding its Spanish-language content, AT&T U-verse has also been focusing on using its IPTV platform to offer interactive applications for Hispanics, said Tran. Last year U-verse launched Paquete Español Multiview, which lets customers choose from up to 53 Spanish-language channels in the Paquete Español package to watch at the same time, and developed the Santa Tracker TV app in Spanish, which allows customers to play holiday games and track Santa on Christmas Eve.
