AZ Paid TV: We will launch the new channel AZ Cinema with the best of Mexican cinema

A few months away from the launching of Azteca’s AZ pay TV, its director, Fidela Navarro, announced to PRODU the upcoming release of a new signal, AZ Cinema, also available in HD and which will broadcast Azteca’s extensive catalogue of films from the 50s and 60.”It will have an broad catalogue of exclusive films that Azteca owns in perpetuity, we are even rescuing others that were in 35mm format, which is why we are now in the process of converting and restoring them. It is a channel with many surprises, which will also have new and complementing productions that will give it a distinctive touch,” she expressed.Navarro also brought forward the relaunching of the 24-hour news channel for Mexican territory, as well as ten new productions and ten new programs for each of the signals of this division. For AZ Mundo, coproductions with Azteca America are being prepared. AZ Corazón will retransmit the telenovela Mirada de Mujer (Woman’s Gaze), produced by Epigmenio Ibarra de Argos in 1997, “a product that made history in Mexico and around the world, and where we will show material that refers to what the telenovela was.”
