Azteca America secures exclusive broadcast rights to the home matches of four Liga MX teams in upcoming Apertura 2015

Azteca America announced it has secured the exclusive broadcast rights to the home games of four Liga MX teams. In addition to the current league champions Santos Laguna, Monarcas Morelia, and Xolos de Tijuana, Azteca is now the official broadcaster of Club Atlas, one of Mexico’s premier teams.The new season of Apertura kicks-off on Friday, July 24, featuring the match between Santos and Club León. “At Azteca, Liga MX has become synonymous with Viernes Futbolero and we are proud to welcome Club Atlas to our exclusive roster of teams we broadcast. Our new rights grant us the ability to continue to deliver the best in soccer programming to our passionate audience and truly establishes Azteca as La Casa del Fútbol Mexicano”, said Manuel Abud, president and Chief Executive Officer, Azteca America.Azteca is now the exclusive broadcast network of two weekly primetime matches every week of the season, Viernes Futboleros and Sábado Fútbol Estelar. Primetime Fridays on Azteca will feature all home games for Santos Laguna and Xolos deTijuana while Saturdays will air Monarcas Morelia and Club Atlas home matches. This upcoming season, Azteca will be the exclusive broadcaster of the Clásico Tapatío, Guadalajara’s soccer rivalry between Atlas and Chivas, on October 24th. additional five premium matches featuring America, Chivas, Santos, Tijuana and Atlas will be broadcast by Azteca.
