BBC appoints James Wildbore Senior VP and General Manager for LatAm and US Hispanic

BBC Studios announced the appointment of James Wildbore as the new Senior VP and General Manager of the company´s Latin America/U.S. Hispanic division, after assuming the role of interim general manager in January 2018.
As part of the responsibilities assumed in this position, from which he will report directly to Ann Sarnoff, president of BBC Studios - Americas, Wildbore will supervise the works of the regional teams, as well as the company´s general operations in Miami, São Paulo and Mexico City.
Regarding his professional path, Wildbore is contributing more than 15 years of experience in the international media industry. In 2015, he joined the BBC Studios team in Miami as Senior VP, Finances and Commercial Operations for Latin America and the Hispanic market in the US, where he had a key role in the new strategic approach in the region.
“Throughout this last year, James has proven to be a very successful leader, whose comprehension of an increasingly more complex mediatic landscape turns him into the ideal person to grow our company in all those important markets," maintained Ann Sarnoff, president of BBC Studios - Americas.
Before joining BBC Worldwide (currently known as BBC Studios), Wildbore held key positions in Disney and Universal in the film distribution area and for media in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.
