Recently, Boxfish opened offices in Brazil. Directed by Carol Telles, former Discovery, they are already working on several projects, reported Diego Guebel, president of Boxfish Argentina and Brazil.

The production company started its operations a few years ago in Spain with Guebel and a group of local partners that had already worked with him in Cuatro Cabezas, Eyeworks and then Warner.

Until now, they have made more than 10 programs including their own production and for third parties, such as All3Media and BBC, for which they made the Spanish version of Bake Off.

In Argentina they opened offices at the beginning of 2018 and their first project was the format El Gran Premio de la Cocina, which they produced for eltrece in a non-traditional schedule for this type of program: 5pm, but it did very well.

“We did our very best because we like to produce and were very happy with the result. I think the election of Carina Zampini as host, together with Juan Marconi, and of Felicitas Pizarro and Christian Petersen as jury was a success. It was a great experience, because it was a daily program and allowed us to have a product to take to the international market,” he said.

As for other projects in Argentina, he announced that they are in negotiations to produce MasterChef for Telefe and with Amazon and Netflix for two documentaries.

For the time being, they do not plan to open offices in other markets such as Mexico because they prefer to do so in countries in which they have already worked and know.
