Ricardo Coeto, CCO, and Paco Cordero, CEO, both founders of BTF Media, announced that 2021 started with shootings: Last Monday, February 1st, they started the production of a series and on February 15, they will start shooting a movie, both in Mexico. In March, they will start another series in a Caribbean country. The production plan is oiled, but they cannot announce details due to the confidentiality agreements.

Paco Cordero explained that this year they will make four movies in Mexico. Regarding series, it will depend on agreements with clients. When we asked for details, they explained that they are finishing the development of Nueve Reinas and The Others, whereas El Centauro del Norte and Pancho Villa are in pre-production. The expectation is to produce series towards the end of 2021.

What they were able to talk about is the launch on Disney+ on February 12 of Conecta y Ccanta, made remotely during the pandemic. An original BTF Media idea, shot in three countries, which, according to Coeto, was made with the heart and made it clear to them that nothing is impossible if it is done in a team.

They still haven’t been able to start the production of the second season of Maradona in Argentina, which they estimate will start mid-year. In that country, they are also about to start shooting a movie.

In Chile, they made a documentary during the pandemic and are currently producing another one, related to soccer. Una Historia Necesaria 2, Raza Brava and Voces Anónimas project the office led by Hernán Caffiero will carry out this year.
