BuenaVisión TV starts pay-TV distribution in NY through Cablevision

BuenaVisión TV, the broadcast television network commandeered by Carlos Barba in the New York market, will start distribution through Cablevision channel 1027 starting November 18th.“Our plan is to initially serve the New York market and eventually expand down the East Coast until we reach the Caribbean,” told PRODU Barba, a veteran with more than 54 years experience in the U.S. Hispanic TV market.BuenaVisión TV has programming agreements with Teleuniverso channel 29 in the Dominican Republic, Teleoro channel 13 in Puerto Rico, Jorge Barón Televisión in Colombia and RBC Televisión in Peru.Part of the programming of BuenaVisión TV in the New York market includes a telenovela block from Tele-Romántica from 2 to 3pm; cooking shows from the Dominican Republic’s Teleuniverso; Tribunal Del Pueblo with judge Mario Luis Acosta, produced in Los Angeles; film space Cine Club; and news shows from Noticiero Universal of Teleuniverso, Telepaís of Colombia and another newscast from Puerto Rico. Other shows include the documentary series Orígenes from The Greenlight Studios, the show Aprieta Y Gana from Venezuela’s RCTV; El Show De Las Estrellas of Colombia, live with Jorge Barón (Sundays); and the show with psychic Alain from 9 to 9:30pm (Sundays); among others.
