Canal Once and Canal 22 from Mexico, respectively, appoint Jimena Saldaña and Ernesto Velázquez as their directors

Mexico´s Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP-Public Education Bureau), designated Jimena Gutiérrez as director of Canal Once and Ernesto Velázquez in the same position at Canal 22, in replacement of Enriqueta Cabrera and Raúl Cremoux, respectively, who stepped down from their posts the first days of October.Before being appointed to lead Canal Once, Jimena Saldaña was Adjoint President of the Organización Editorial Mexicana, and at the same time is permanent member of the Mexican Olympic Committee. “I am familiar with the environment and rhythm of TV. I was raised among TV sets and join a great work team. And we must count on this team´s effort, dedication and experience in order for Canal Once to have a new drive,” commented Saldaña, who is the daughter of the composer, writer and journalist Jorge Saldaña.Ernesto Velázquez, for his part held the position of director of Canal TV UNAM, and was the person in charge of formalizing the broadcast of this university space through the digital channel 30.2 and its output via satellite throughout the entire country, with cable TV and DTH systems.
