Canela.TV to offer nearly 100 hours of content around the World Cup Qatar 2022

Canela.TV announced its robust programming lineup for the biggest sports event of the year in Qatar. Available now through December on Canela Deportes, the soccer-themed content will include documentaries, magazine shows and Canela’s first original sports show – Qatar Al Día.

Qatar Al Día, in partnership with La Gambeta, will feature analysis on matches, commentary on current standings, images from each match and fan color from Doha. It will also feature former Argentine player, Bruno Marioni, (Liga MX champion with Pumas in 2007) as an expert analyst.

“The World Cup is an event that cuts across all language, economic and country of origin segments of the Hispanic population, it’s a huge part of the Latino culture. The content lineup we have created has something for everyone from up to minute news to the history of the competition and a wonderful series on the Mexican National Team,” said Felipe Osorio, VP of Canela Deportes.

Canela.TV’s coverage of the World Cup event will also include:

Sede Mundialista: This special report, taped in Qatar with René Romero, will highlight the most important teams and players playing in Qatar with the stadiums where the competition will be played as a backdrop.
Mexico Campeón Del Mundo: This first-of-its-kind series will engage viewers with the history of the Mexican National Team, one of the most popular soccer national teams in the U.S. It will tell the stories behind the most relevant figures in Mexican soccer. Also discussed is the story behind the curse of the “fifth match”, an expression that already has a whole meaning and that has even become part of the colloquial language in the country.
Camino a Qatar: This 38-episode magazine show will present the latest news on each of the teams featured in the competition – from the latest news to current standings.
Historia de Los Mundiales: This 57-episode series will give viewers the best moments, teams and players and most renown starts from the first instance of the competition in 1930 to today.
