Casa Productions, of the Venezuelan director and content creator, Juan Carlos Daboin (Daboinc), is seeking screen and distribution for several of his productions. The first is Daboinc’s first film Cerdo, which debuts this year starring Julián Gil, alongside Sofía Castro, José María Torres, Lyn May, and Víctor Florencio (El Niño Prodigio), among others.

“We are also developing a documentary, Evolution revolution (3×45′), a mini-series about Evo Morales’ life since he became president, including the coup and exile and his return,” he pointed out.

Casa Productions is also promoting an interview series, X-Presidentes, hosted by Julián Gil, who interviews several former presidents from across the continent. “We already have Evo Morales from Bolivia; Rafael Correa from Ecuador; Nayib Bukele from Ecuador; and Daniel Ortega from Nicaragua,” he said. The first season will have eight episodes.

“These products are perfect for streaming and pay TV,” he mentioned.

The list of projects also includes the short film El Bebé Debe Morir, about abortion. It was recently selected at the Sunlight International Film Festival in Berlin, Germany. It was directed by Daboinc.

“This short film reflects on the minor role that men in the US played in decision-making regarding abortion. It’s a different approach from the typical debate revolving about when does life really begin? Or to what extent a life is sacrificed in order to make another more comfortable? or the slogan ‘My body, my choice.’ We talk about the father’s role when it comes to welcoming a child he desires, but is unwanted by the mother. When ethically is socially acceptable that a man, despite his feelings and beliefs, has to support a pregnant woman in the decision to abort. When a man disagrees with his partner on this issue, he’s not heard and becomes a discordant element in a business standardized by medical institutions and radical feminism,” explained Daboinc. The short’s executive production is managed by Casa Productions, Yare Films, and Alpha Entertainment Services; in collaboration with Ricording Video.
