Cinelatino celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with movies from across Latin America

Cinelatino is commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing huge blockbuster premieres and special programming stunts featuring films from across Latin America, throughout September and October.Cinelatino will kick off the celebration on Monday, September 15, with a two-day mega-marathon of Mexican box office hits to coincide with Mexican Independence Day on September 16. Among the lineup of films include Morelos, a historical drama about the final years of the leader of the Mexican Independence, starring Dagoberto Gama and Raul Méndez; Suave Patria, a hilarious comedy about two unemployed actors who stage a fake kidnapping, featuring superstars Adrián Uribe and Omar Chaparro; La Cebra: an award-winning film about two friends who travel to northern Mexico to enlist in Obregon’s army on a zebra, mistaking it for an ‘American horse’; Salvando al Soldado Pérez, one of the most successful Mexican movies of recent years with an all-star cast, including Miguel Rodarte, Jaime Camil, Jesús Ochoa, Joaquín Cosio, and Adal Ramones; and El Infierno, a black comedy about the world of organized crime in Mexico, starring Damián Alcázar, Joaquín Cosio, Daniel Giménez Cacho. Each Sunday in September and October, viewers can enjoy the premiere of a new box office hit from Latin America, among them Luna Escondida; Saluda al Diablo de mi Parte; and Vamos de Robo, among others.On October 12, Cinelatino will present a collection of movies from across Latin America in honor of Columbus Day. Among the movies viewers can enjoy include: Una Mirada al Mar (Venezuela), Amor y Frijoles (Honduras), Antes de Que el Mundo Acabe (Brazil), El Ascensor (Bolivia), Personal Belongings (Cuba), El Paseo 2 (Colombia); and ¿Alguien Ha Visto a Lupita? (Mexico/Chile).
