According to Carlos Cerutti, general director of Alton River, the attractions that the Dominican Republic offers for production include the fiscal stimulus law for audiovisual production, especially in cinema; the “incredible” outdoor locations, and professionals that are well-prepared in production services.
Cerutti commented that since August last year, they resumed shootings with schedule restrictions due to the curfew. "We implemented our COVID protocols and only had two cases in six months," he added.
Since August to date, they have made the third season of Masterchef Amateur with Fly Content and 007 Media for Telesistemas Canal 11; they are about to finish Masterchef Celebrity 2; they finished the first season of La Guerra de Los Sexos from Cisneros Media in partnership with Daniel Sarcos, and are now making the second edition for Color Visión Canal 9. “Additionally, we are offering shooting services for virtual classes of the Ministry of Education and with the law of tax incentive for cinema, we are pre-producing a documentary film on merengue," he said.
He mentioned that for the shootings of Masterchef Amateur 3 and Masterchef Celebrity 2, they implemented procedures advised by Endemol regarding distancing, use of backup technical teams, and a dynamic of the interrelation of participants and production that specified separate areas for talent, production, and studio and control technicians. "Safe areas were achieved with the least possible contact and weekly medical control," he highlighted.
