The Circulo Creativo Latino of the United States recently announced its new Working Board for the 2014-2016 period, which will be presided over by Laurence Klinger, executive VP and chief creative officer at Lapiz, with the aid of Maria Ines Velez, who in the past handled production of Circulo’s USH Awards and now takes over the post of general manager. For her part, Carmen Navarrete, senior producer at Bravo, will join as membership manager. The Working Board this year also welcomes Isabel Echeverry, sales representative at Kontakto, as sponsorship coordinator, while Valeria Maldini, EP at Caviar Content, will donate her time to help out in public relations. Meanwhile Claudio Vera, the outgoing president of the Circulo, and Luli de Otto will serve the board as content managers for membership bulletins and Circulo’s online presence. “Being president was a wonderful experience. Very fulfilling, intense, rewarding and full of great achievements, thanks to the people who collaborated with us. We hope we can count on the same participation this year" Vera said. Javier Osorio, creative director at Walton Isaacson Chicago and who will be Circulo’s social media manager, said “the most powerful ingredient of Círculo is its members. We must take full advantage of the opportunity to learn from each other. Social Media is the best tool to enable this exchange of ideas.” Bettina Abascal, principal at Reps Momentum and former general manager of Círculo, is moving on to a more supervisory position. “My role moving forward is to work more on new initiatives, education opportunities and finding ways to help Círculo grow," she said.
