The fifth season of Shark Tank Mexico
, that debuted in the region on Canal Sony and Claro Video on Friday, June 26, fills Ramón García, SVP Distribution and Channel for Mexico and US Hispanic at Sony Pictures Television (SPT) with emotion, “because along with having a great deal of entertainment content, it is a program we feel leaves a little more to a country like Mexico and the region". The program is on more than 40 international markets, distributed by SPT.
García, who participated on #PRODUprimetime with Richard Izarra, said that it is launched in an important moment when the summer is starting and the pandemic is still present.
The fifth season of the format, original by Nippon TV from Japan, produced by Sony with Claro video in Mexico, has, among other innovative elements, greater female participation with three 'sharks'. "It is the first time we are going to have three women, two of them you already know, one of them comes from Shart Tank Colombia. We are thrilled because it speaks of reality in Mexico and Latin America that we cannot ignore and that women´s presence is increasingly more important in all domains: owners, executives," he expressed.
He recalled that along with Mexico, Shark Tank has versions in Colombia and Brazil.
“We have always bet on this format and it has not let us down.
