Guido Rud, president of FilmSharks, commented that the past Cannes Festival was very strong and active, and “it seems like cinema is back and that gives producers and distributors hope. It is a golden age for production and a dark one regarding revenue shares because deals in digital businesses are not as nice as in the old days” he pointed out.

He said that producers and distributors anxiously hope that cinema goes back to being the first window of most of the films that premiere worldwide and that is why we are seeing the revitalization of the industry with enthusiasm.

He also noticed a great fervor in the Annecy animation market last week, with great activity and presentation of movies and series.
The executive is currently in Madrid where he is working on two productions and came to Conecta to spend the day and attend the presentation of Santa Evita, invited by Patricio Rabuffetti from Non Stop, one of the co-producers.

“I take this opportunity to greet producer friends and television channels” he commented.
