Globo closes deal with Massachusetts operator

Starting this month, the Portuguese language community of Massachusetts has one more option available to accompany the programming offered by Globo’s international channel. Betting on the demand generated by the high number of Brazilians in the state, Globo just closed a deal with the Norwood Light Broadband cable operator to offer the channel in the region.The operator’s subscribers can add Globo’s international channel, which is at position 513 of its line-up, through the a la carte option and thus accompany the Brazilian broadcaster’s programming, made up of famous telenovelas, series, journalistic programs, children’s programming, sports and soccer, transmitted 24 hours a day, completely in Portuguese. Norwood Light Broadband is a company in Massachusetts that offers triple-play service and high-speed internet. Globo is another one of the operator’s international options. It already offers channels in Japanese, Russian, Italian and Mandarin, as well as others.With this partnership, the number of operators in the USA that offer Globo’s international channel reaches 18.
