GolTV nets the highest ratings in network history with Argentina vs. Brazil match on June 9th

GolTV netted the highest ratings in network history for an international match with the broadcast of the June 9 clash between FIFA powerhouses Argentina and Brazil. Airing live from MetLife Stadium, the match was not only attracted a sellout crowd of 81,994 fans, but garnered a 30% higher rating in the key 18-49 demographic than the previously top rated FIFA game on GolTV.“The strong performance of this match not only demonstrates the growing popularity of international soccer, but the deep loyalty and interest in the Argentinean and Brazilian national teams and leagues among GolTV viewers. Soccer from Argentina and Brazil will serve as anchors to the GolTV lineup for the next several years leading up to the 2014 World Cup [to be played in Brazil].
