Hispanic TV industry mourns death of Mexican actress Lorena Rojas on Monday 16th in Miami

The Mexican actress and singer Lorena Rojas passed away on Monday 16th in Miami at 44 years of age, after facing a courageous battle against cancer.Lorena, who bravely defeated the disease at different stages since being diagnosed in 2008, took her last breath peacefully in her home, surrounded by the love of her family, her boyfriend and her closest friends, informed LatinWE, who represented Lorena Rojas from 2007 until 2009.Rojas was one of the most beloved actresses and leaves behind a great legacy, with a brilliant artistic career where she stood out in internationally acclaimed novelas such as El cuerpo del deseo, Pecados ajenos, Alcanzar una estrella and her most recent project, the series Demente Criminal. She also shined in the big screen with five movies and in theaters with Manos quietas and Aventurera.Besides her numerous roles as lead actress, Lorena was able to fulfill, not too long ago, her biggest musical dream as composer and singer of Hijos del Sol; this children’s CD was inspired by her daughter Luciana, who will now be living with her aunt, actress Mayra Rojas, and her adoptive father, just like Lorena had intended.
