Imagina International Sales: We want to consolidate ourselves as a reference in content

At Mip, Imagina International Sales will offer a combination of fiction and entertainment. Regarding fiction, they will present Side Games, a co-production between Mediapro and DIRECTV. It is a thriller directed by Daniel Calparsoro with a script by Eduardo Sacheri, on the world of soccer lovers, combined with the dark underworld of the sport.

“Additionally we will have the third season of Vis a Vis, one of the most successful franchises that after opening doors for Spanish fiction in places like the UK and the US, reaches the market to conquer new territories,” commented Beatriz Setuain, managing director of Imagina International Sales.

Regarding the scope between non-fiction and entertainment, they will present a new original format, Undiscovered Spain, with the chef José Andrés, who will unveil all of Spain’s culinary secrets.

“We have expectations to consolidate ourselves as a reference in content, occupying an outstanding position in the international market, associated to creativity, quality and talent. We hope to continue assuring alliances and agreements and keep delivering our great productions to viewers worldwide,” highlighted Setuain.

As for recent sales, Setuain informed of the acquisition of Vis a Vis by Channel 4 (that became the first Spanish series to reach the channel) and to Amazon Prime US; several titles for the prestigious platform Walter Presents in different territories and in the region, the adaptation of Chiringuito de Pepe in Mexico with Imagen Televisión and other agreements that cannot yet be disclosed.
