Joshua Mintz named Senior Executive Vice Presidente, Telemundo Entertainment

Telemundo Communications Group announced that Joshua Mintz has been named Senior Executive Vice President, Telemundo Entertainment, effective immediately. The announcement was made by Telemundo President Don Browne, to whom Mintz will report.In this new position, Mintz will be responsible for the overall entertainment development and programming strategy of the Telemundo Network. Mintz will work to streamline Telemundo’s development-to-air process and design and execute long-term strategic plans for the network’s entertainment grid, including original content and program acquisitions strategy. Adriana Ibáñez, Executive Vice President of Programming, will continue in her role overseeing programming and scheduling strategy for Telemundo’s network and international cable channel, and will report to Mintz.“Joshua is an extraordinarily talented producer, programmer and television executive. He has extensive experience in Mexico as a producer and media executive. He has also had experience as a programmer for U.S. Hispanic audiences and has been an important part of the success of Telemundo studios. He knows and understands the competitive landscape and will bring diversity, experience and global leadership to all areas of content and programming. In a period of great change and increasing competition, having Joshua join forces with Adriana puts us in a strong position to compete and grow,” said Browne. Prior to this role, Mintz was Vice President Strategic Development at Telemundo Studios.
