Keith Le Goy, president of Worldwide Distribution, Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), who is also in charge of supervising the Home Entertainment division, announced in an internal memo the first wave of country leaders under the new model of territory management that groups, under a single local leader, the businesses that had historically been separate.

“As announced last month, we are moving to a new territory management model which brings together, under a single local leader, businesses that have been historically separate, giving us the ability to make smart, strategic business decisions. We are now pleased to announce our first wave of leaders at the country level. Soon, we will be confirming additional territory managers for countries, such as the UK, where we are in active discussions with potential candidates,” said LeGoy in the memo.

In the case of Latin America (excluding Mexico and Brazil), the leaders will be Mónica Veiga and Nasthascha Rengifo. Mexico will be led by Ramón García, and Brazil by Jefferson Pugsley.

Le Goy highlighted that this new management model “will give us the ability to make intelligent and strategic business decisions.”

As they announced a few weeks ago, Mike Hopkins, Chairman of Sony Pictures Television, Álex Marín, will supervise the territories of Latin America and Canada (Phil King is the local leader in the case of Canada).
