La Ligue 1 Uber Eats, aired on beIN SPORTS in the US, has big ties in this market and there is an increasing interest in the French tournament in the US audience.

In a presentation to the media, Antonio Briceño, General Director of beIN SPORTS North America, and Yoann Godin, Director of International Development of the Ligue de Football Professionnel, highlighted the benefits of the competition and the importance the US market has for Ligue 1 Uber Eats. “It is a pleasure to be the home of this exciting league that currently has five teams in the race to the top,” said Briceño.

Godin explained that this season has a record of more than 7 million people watching the incidences of the tournament (8% more than in 2019), and 80% of their followers in the US feel that Ligue 1 Uber Eats is more interesting today than five years ago.

The presentation was moderated by the beIN SPORTS journalist, Andrés Cordero, and had a section of questions and answers with the player’s Timothy Weah from LOSC Lille, and Cesc Fábregas from AS Monaco.

Godin mentioned that upcoming projects include eLigue 1 Tour, an international esport competition from the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, whose qualifying rounds will be on March 13, and the playoffs on March 14. The US will be one of the countries where it will take place.
