Music Is As Powerful As Image
22 de septiembre de 2020
The power of music as a storytelling device was the topic explored, during the FIAP Face to Face Webinar dubbed De Camino al Innovation Summit 2021, by Maru Carbi, executive producer of Primo Mexico; Caco Marshall, audiovisual director and music producer of Primo Global; Octavio Gortazar, production and content director at Caponeto; and Rodrigo Maurovich, audio engineer at NBCUniversal Telemundo Global Studios,
“Music has a power that brands must see as vital to their productions. A song, a chord is as memorable as an image and adds a special memorability factor to advertising," Marshall said.
For his part, Gortazar spoke of the production of his first series Desenfrenadas (Unstoppable Women) that was launched on Netflix last February 28. “Music selection is very important in fiction. Before finishing the scripts, we already had the music we liked lined up on Spotify. We were very clear about wanting to work with independent artists, especially Latin American women, because of the basic theme of the series.”
Maurovich spoke of his experience as audio engineer for El Preso No. 1. “My work is to convey emotions through music. It’s a very detailed job.”
