Liga Mx Mexican soccer quarterfinals push Azteca America to number two in key male demos

Azteca America posted strong overnight network numbers on Nov. 14 thanks to thrilling soccer matches for the first leg of the playoff quarterfinals of the Liga Mx Mexican soccer championship. According to the Nielsen Company, the network garnered a 12% market share of Persons 18-49 of Spanish-language broadcast networks during primetime, 7pm – 11pm. AZA Ranked # 2 in key male demos: M18-49 and M25-54 and #3 in other key demos: P18+, P18-49, P25-54, and P2-17.“We’re excited with this positive traction and hope to follow our teams all the way to the finals,” said Azteca America CEO Martín Breidsprecher. Azteca America is broadcasting the home matches of Cruz Azul and Monarcas Morelia for the playoff cycle. Following the first leg, Cruz Azul carried a one-goal advantage against León, with Monarcas Morelia two goals behind Club América. The highest goal advantage of the two-match, home-and-away series advances to the semifinals.The primetime lineup began at 7pm with Al Extremo, followed by the Cruz Azul-León match at 8pm and Monarcas-América at 10pm.
