Lionsgate and Televisa announce partnership with Pantelion Films and South Shore TV to produce film with Wilmer Valderrama

Wilmer Valderrama (That 70’s Show, Awake, Larry Crowne, Handy Manny) signed a film and TV deal with Pantelion Films and South Shore TV. Lionsgate and Televisa, announced the partnership. The deal reflects South Shore TV and Pantelion’s commitment to building a strong list of Latino talent for their film and TV operations.Valderrama, represented by UTA/Silver Lining Entertainment, will develop feature film projects for Pantelion as producer and actor. He will also develop scripted and non-scripted TV projects for the West Coast.”Wilmer is a versatile actor with a strong crossover appeal for the conventional Hispanic and Anglo audiences,” said Paul Presburger, CEO of Pantelion Films and general director of Televisa USA. “This agreement is part of our strategy of continuing to build a list of Hispanic talent that will produce and star in films, commercials and TV series that feature Hispanic themes.”Kevin Beggs, President of the Lionsgate Television Group, said: “Our company has proven its expertise in the creation of TV programs and films geared to specific demographics, and Wilmer joins a list of Latino talent that allows us to offer content and programs of interest to the U.S. Hispanic audience.”
