Lisa Kimmel of Edelman: I get the benefit of running my own business with the broad reach of a global network

The President and CEO of Edelman Canada, Lisa Kimmel is one of the few people of the advertising industry working for a long time in one agency. This year she celebrated her 14th anniversary in the team and for the occasion she published an article explaining the reasons why she still is at Edelman.

“A company should allow you to be entrepreneurial and to take risks. I often tell my father that I get the benefit of running my own business with the broad reach of a global network. I have the freedom to make decisions that are right for my region, while accessing resources from across our network” she explained.

For Kimmel, in Edelman she is exposed - on a daily basis- to some of the brightest and most innovative thinkers in the industry. “If we don’t have local or regional expertise, I can find it in our network and international colleagues will happily help us out.”

“If you have the drive and ambition, you can wear many different hats here. I’m proof of that, but so are many others employees who have switched specialties, practices or sectors” she said.
