Luis Silberwasser is the new president of Telemundo Network

NBCUniversal’s Hispanic Enterprises and Content announced that television veteran, Luis Silberwasser, has been named president of Telemundo Network, starting in August. He will report to Joe Uva, Chairman, Hispanic Enterprises and Content, NBCUniversal and will be based in Miami. In his new role, Silberwasser will have overall responsibility for the Telemundo broadcast network, including Telemundo Studios.Working closely with the Hispanic Enterprises and Content senior team and Telemundo’s leadership, Silberwasser will be responsible for developing and executing the Spanish-language network’s entertainment, sports and news growth strategy with a focus on increased market share and profitability.“Luis is a world-class operating executive with exceptional management, content and leadership experience. His deep understanding of the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets, coupled with his strong track record in successfully building global brands and developing and producing high quality content make him the ideal leader to fulfill the growth potential of Telemundo Network,” said Uva.“I am extremely proud and honored to join the NBCUniversal family.
