Maria Garrido as Entertainment juror: Ogilvy Mexico and Victoria beer show great respect for their country

Maria Garrido, global CMO for the French mass media holding company Vivendi, acted as jury president in the Entertainment Lion category, whose gold medal went to Ogilvy Mexico for its campaign The Taste of Reunion, created for Victoria beer.
“This brand has consistently delivered a message related to the culture and pride of being Mexican,” she said. ”The consistency of that message over the long term is important to us, on a par with the crafting. The film is precious and every detail is spectacular, from the flowers used to the butterfly that flies by. It’s a campaign that truly reflects Mexican culture and shows respect for that country,” she added.
The film was produced by Media.Monks and invites people to reconnect with their loved ones through the traditions that so characterize and unite Mexico.
It also has a very special feature, since it was written and produced with real comments expressed on Victoria beer social networks, where over the years thousands of Mexicans have written to their dearly departed loved ones on the Day of the Dead.
At the same time, to accompany the campaign’s film, Victoria beer launched Victoria Cempasuchil (Victoria Marigolds),” a brew made with an extract of that ancestral flower, whose color traditionally decorates Mexican homes every year on this heartfelt occasion.
