MGM decided to open offices in Miami “because all the buyers are here, to serve clients better and it is strategically the way to advance with MGM, especially with all the initiatives we are doing for US Hispanic and Latin America,” explains Tomás Davison, the company’s Senior VP, International TV Distribution for Latin America and US Hispanic.

He mentioned that after the success of Luis Miguel: La Serie and films such as Overboard with Eugenio Derbez, MGM is having many co-production talks with other big clients, broadcasters and with production companies. “We are seeking to partner and be able to have the best business strategies in Latin America and also to feed the US Hispanic market,” he added, and he explained that in the past, those two territories were handled separately, but now they are together.

The office, located in Brickell, is already operative with Davison and Gustavo Gómez, former Warner Bros. “ready to receive clients and form strategic alliances,” he ended.
