History introduced its new original production Guerras Mundiales. It premiered in primetime last Monday, July 28th, on the 100th anniversary of World War I.It shows a side of both World Wars that had not been seen before: how WWI affected the people who would play important roles in WWII: Hitler, Roosevelt, Mussolini, Churchill, De Gaulle, Tojo, McArthur, Patton and Stalin. In addition to archival footage and interviews, what sets apart this six-hour special is a high production level focused on the human drama with rich fiction contribution. History Latin America’s original production Continente Nazi, follows the same format. Produced by Snap TV, the program shows the Nazi network in Latin America during WWII. It premieres on Saturday, August 2nd in primetime.Miguel Brailovsky, VP and General Manager of History Latin America, told PRODU this is the trend with all original productions: more fictional content with less archival footage, and told from the perspective of the characters.“Viewers want to understand the protagonists and the motivation behind their actions,” said Brailovsky. For the second half of the year, he announced the premiere of the miniseries Houdini with Adrian Brody and the original production Power, about the conspiracies against sustainable development.
