Multimedios TV’s all-original evening lineup is giving fight to Televisa and TV Azteca in markets where they compete head-to-head for ratings. Anchored by the comedy series Méteme Gol (Score Me a Goal), and complemented with reality show Mitad y Mitad (The Other Half), Volumen 4, and Bailadísimo, Multimedios TV’s programming has become a ratings juggernaut.“When people think of Mexican television, they think of Televisa and TV Azteca. There are cities in Mexico where we have always competed head to head with them and beat them in audience ratings. Our new shows like Méteme Gol and Mitad y Mitad have taken our ratings wins to a whole new level,” said Guillermo Franco, General Manager of the company’s television division, Multimedios Networks.Centered in Monterrey, Méteme Gol is full of on-location footage, local actors and local humor. Starring Poncho de Nigris and Carolina Fuentes, this series has given this soccer trophy town yet another accomplishment to cheer about.Poncho de Nigris is also the star of Multimedios TV’s dating-reality show Mitad y Mitad. Women vie for the hand of this captivating actor and model. And along the way, they have a lot of fun, as they compete in contests and generally act silly. With a playful vibe, Mitad y Mitad is a reality show that’s fun rather than exploitative. And once again, viewers have responded in droves.
