NATPE 2013 addresses the opportunities in Spanish-language television

During NATPE 2013 one the of main sessions will address the opportunities in Spanish-language television in the U.S.The panel entitled “The Ever-Expanding Opportunities in Spanish-Language Television” will be moderated by Harris Whitbeck, CEO of Zodiak Latino. The panelist are Alberto Ciurana, president, Programming and Content, Univision Networks; Christy Haubegger, Agent, Creative Artists Agency (CAA); Jacqueline Hernández, Chief Operating Officer, Telemundo Media; and Adriana Ibáñez, EVP, Programming, MundoFoxBy 2050, the Hispanic population will increase by 167%, becoming the fastest-growing population segment in the U.S. This surge will continue to provide tremendous opportunities for Spanish-language television, which has already experienced higher viewership among this rapidly expanding, diverse audience, with numbers reaching traditional broadcast network ratings.Some of the topics that will be addressed are how will Spanish-language networks, including Univision, Telemundo, and MundoFox, capitalize on this growth?, how has Spanish-language programming been able to increasingly attract the lucrative 18-34 demographic? And what type of programming has (or has not) resonated with these audiences? among other questions.
