New La Guerra De Los Sexos

La Guerra De Los Sexos, a Cisneros Media entertainment format that appeared some 20 years ago as a segment of Venevision´s Sábado Sensacional and then went on to become a four-hour show, will be produced in a modern version by Vistalux International and Carlos Cerutti´s Alton River for Dominican Republic´s Telesistemas Canal 11.

The show, to be hosted by Sarcos in the male role, will now have a two-hour format and will debut at the end of January 2020, on Sundays from 7 to 9pm.

“We noticed one or two years ago that the opportunity to develop premium TV formats in the Dominican Republic had opened up and we started seeking an important franchise we could execute and found La Guerra De Los Sexos, a program I hosted for many years for Venevisión, and we reached the option to produce it from Cisneros Media,” explains Sarcos and adds that they allied with Alton River, producers of MasterChef in the Dominican Republic.

He highlighted that they are starting from scratch, with a new set and scenery. “We maintain the spirit of the original show, but adding modern technology: digitalizing, with high audio, screen, and lighting quality standards,” he adds. He commented they hope to be able to take the show to other markets, including Puerto Rico.

Sarcos mentioned they are having auditions to find the female host.

“I think we are taking a very important step for the Dominican Republic to be taken into account as a production center,” he ended.
