Nickelodeon Latin America inks development deal with Somos Productions

Nickelodeon Latin America announced that they have signed a development agreement with Somos Productions for a new teen telenovela during Mipcom 2011 in Cannes.A pilot for the series will be unveiled at Natpe this coming January in Miami Beach.The telenovela, which will consist of 75 one-hour episodes (45 minutes total running time), will feature international talent and include a lively mix of comedy, fantasy, suspense and adventure aimed at Nickelodeon’s audience.“We are delighted to enter this development agreement with Somos Productions, whose projects have an international reputation of quality. We are certain they will deliver an amazing pilot for Nickelodeon Latin America,” commented JC Acosta, CFO, SVP and executive in charge of Production for MTV Networks Latin America.“We were thrilled with the concept from the moment Somos Productions shared it with us.
