Nickelodeon: This is an excellent moment for the market in Colombia

Nickelodeon Latin America presented in Bogota a new version of Kids’ choice awards Colombia, that is an acknowlegement to the most outstanding productions in music, film and TV, based on votes from children and fans of the channel. Tatiana Rodríguez, Senior Programming and Creative Strategies at Nickelodeon Latinoamérica, admitted to PRODU the great moment Colombia is going through in terms of TV and music. “One of the things that attracted us about this country is the effort the government is making to generate quality contents that are interesting and fun for the children’s audience. We are happy to be able to share a bit of our knowledge so that increasingly more places enjoy this type of project”. The gala, which is held in Bogota for second consecutive year, will reward 17 categories distributed among TV, social networks, music, theater and even one for the most fashionista. There are more than 50 nominees hoping to take the famous orange ‘blimp’ home.Regarding original productions in the region, Tatiana Rodríguez explained: “What I like the most about developing projects in LatAm is that all productions are carried out with local talent, and we are overcoming barriers and reaching the entire world.”
