Noticentro presents special coverage from Washington

Noticentro will cover the historic moment when Joe Biden will be inaugurated as the new President of the United States on January 20th. Alongside him, Kamala Harris, the First Woman Vice President, will start the new administration.

The journalist and anchorwoman of Noticentro´s Edición Estelar, Katiria Soto, will travel to the federal capital to inform viewers about all the events leading up to, during, and after the Inauguration.

“In Noticentro, we always have the mission of informing the country. This is a significant event for the nation, for Puerto Ricans, and for Latinos in the United States. Our team will travel to Washington to present a broad coverage, in all of our news editions, about everything that happens there and the reactions of different sectors about of the new term”, said Rafael Lenín López, News Vice President for WAPA Television.

Starting Monday, Soto will present, from Washington, exclusive interviews with leaders attending the event, including high officials of the new administration and the government of the island. Likewise, she will share the impressions and expectations of Puerto Ricans in the diaspora about the impact of this new administration on the future of the Island.

The special coverage will be part of all the editions of Noticentro starting at 5:30am of next Monday, January 18 until Friday, January 22. The inauguration ceremony of the 46th president will be broadcast on WAPA Televisión, WAPA América, and their digital platforms on Wednesday, January 20.
