Distance and the fact that the conversation is online is not an obstacle for content sales to flow in the current circumstances, said sources related with content distribution.

However, too many areas involved in the negotiation (marketing, programming, sales) have made the process more cumbersome, because years ago, buyers had the greatest power decision. An additional aspect that slows down the sales process is the multiple details that must be reviewed in the contract, although this last aspect can be overcome with an open negotiation stance.

Sources comment that the presentations, albeit being online, are indispensable, but must always be personalized, because showing the entire catalog can mean losing a great deal of time.

Distributors have been affected by the closing of markets and the buyers´ current moods. People are not focused, because there are too many distractors, such as the news, family situations or office policies, and people are mostly thinking only about health and the economy.

Sources added that they currently maintain the same budget for acquisitions, waiting to see what happens. They maintain hope that this is just a temporary situation and that the quarantine will be lifted in April. But if there are adjustments at a global scale that affect the economic aspect, they will also have to make adjustments.
