Alejandra Palomera, CEO of Palomera Group, spoke with PRODU about the importance of social networks for the projection of talents.“As an agency we have to be advised by companies specialized in social media networks to offer talents the best counselling. This business has changed, it is much more dynamic. This counselling is extremely important so that talents know where to move towards, what to announce and what not, and to know their audience”, she explained. The agency’s talents include Marjorie De Sousa, Danilo Carrera, William Valdés, Lupita Ferrer, Alejandro Chabán, Christian Meier, Scarlett Gruber, Jessica Cediel and rising stars such as Laura Rosguer, Alexandra Pomales and Mauricio Novoa. She stressed that nowadays social networks allow talents to compete in the market in a more creative way, which is beneficial for brands, the event and talent itself. “We used to be concerned with knowing the audience of a product, a novela or a series. Now we know the audience of celebrities. In the study of social networks, the number of followers is as important as the commitment of the people who follow the talent. Networks can make a brand out of a talent. We estimate that 60%-70% of the income on social networks are related with the number of followers and the target each talent has”, he said.
