Jim Gianopulos, Chairman, and CEO of Paramount Pictures mentioned that Paramount+ will offer some 2,500 movie titles in the context of the ViacomCBS streaming event for investors.

He highlighted that the biggest launches this year, such as A Quiet Place 2 (that will be released in September in movie theaters in the US) will be offered 45 days later on Paramount+. Something similar will happen with the children ́s film Paw Patrol and Mission Impossible 7 with Tom Cruise to be launched in movie theaters on November 16 (depending on the case, the launch will take place 30 or 45 days after it is released in movie theaters).

Other key titles that will arrive at Paramount + in 2022, after their run at movie theaters, and in some cases, after their debut on pay-TV on the Epix channel in the US, include Snake Eyes, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Top Gun: Maverick, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Transformers 7, Dungeons and Dragons, and Scream, among others.

Thanks to the agreement with Epix in the US, mid-year the service will stream popular movies and franchises such as James Bond and The Hunger Games, which will increase the film library to more than 2,500 titles.

And, after a launch by MGM in movie theaters and the exclusive pay-TV window with Epix in the US, the new MGM movies will be available on Paramount +, including House of Gucci, Creed III, and the James Bond film No Time to Die.

Additionally, Gianopulos revealed there are plans to increase the production of films made exclusively for the platform. The first projects will be new versions of Paranormal Activity and Pet Sematary, as well as an original supernatural story, The in Between.
