NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises’ Digital and Emerging Business announced an alliance with Telemundo Noticias to develop the app Noticias Telemundo, a mobile application that, among other things will provide the results of the elections in the US in real time in Spanish. "Hispanics are digital and mobile pioneers, especially the millennial generation and research reveals that they expect quality content to be delivered to them in their own terms" said Peter Blacker, Digital Media & Emerging Businesses at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, when he announced the application. "We understand that the content we provide to our audience needs to be personalized and customized for mobile screens and wearable devices, as Hispanics continue to embrace emerging technologies". The application will include content from programs like Un Nuevo Día, Al Rojo Vivo and Noticiero Telemundo. Additionally, it will provide personalized information to users, including custom push notifications, location-based information such as weather. The program will be available on November 8th, a year before the 2016 election. According to a Nielsen study, Hispanics are the users that most consume information through their mobile devices.
