“Preserving the memory of humanity”. Under this premise, Rolando Loewenstein announces Preservación 35 Film & Data (P35), a company whose headquarters are located in the Polígono de Andalucía (Málaga, Spain) and that will be launched in April of this year.

“I was invited to participate in this project as a technical advisor and to market the service we offer worldwide. We have the technology to preserve all audiovisual and documentary media.”

Loewenstein highlights that the service provided by Preservation 35 Film & Data responds to a trend that is becoming more and more important in the industry. “The newly remastered edition of The Godfather has just been released, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its premiere with an 8K image that exceeds the quality of the original. This is a clear example of this new trend that aims to preserve memory”.

“The purpose of this company is to preserve the memory of humanity, no matter the type of medium. The basis of this preservation process is a new emulsion developed by Kodak that guarantees the preservation of film support. In various industries, including Hollywood, this item is being considered as part of the budget. Preservation is being included to guarantee its conservation over time.”
