Emilio Pina, the executive producer of the series Servir y Proteger from Plano a Plano, commented during the fourth PRODU webinar, Arranque de Grabaciones con Los Nuevos Protocolos, that something positive this new reality has brought is the recovery of discipline during shootings, which had been lost.

“The last decade has been crucial for the loss of discipline on the set. Now, with the protocols, everything has to be very organized. You have to have the least possible number of first-line people and the rest have to be nearby, upon the requirement of the director´s assistant, who asks and indicates when someone has to enter for a retouch. I think all this is positive and it´s necessary not to lose it after the pandemic passes because it is recovering the way film and fiction are done as I learned,” he commented.

On the other hand, he furthered that the pandemic is not affecting all the countries equally; consequently, some countries will have the advantage in the light of the huge audiovisual demand that is coming and is going to favor those who are ready to start. “I think the great American industry is the one that is going to be undermined with respect to all of us. I am not referring only to Spain, but to Latin America as well. There is a delayed response in countries such as the US. Some of the market rules will change, even if just temporarily.”
