Ricardo Cárdenas of ACA Films: We’re creating content platforms for developers in need of our efforts

Ricardo Cárdenas, Executive Producer, VP Hispanic Market and Creative Director at ACA Films is acting as a bridge between agency, client and production house. "Coming from an agency, I understand the clients’ world and the importance of the project from the brief to every sensitive aspect between the agency and the client" he told PRODU. "Budgets are shrinking every day, production challenges are increasing, but maybe due to my agency background I am able to understand that there are many ways of developing a project. It’s part of the producer challenge" he said. As Creative Director, Cárdenas also generates content platforms for developers in need of their efforts as production house. "We’re doing presentations for Warner Brothers and NBCUniversal, we’re doing things with Discovery Channel, and all those minutes of content must and can have sponsors, and that is the bridge I want to offer to agencies. What I’m aiming for is to engage the agency from the beginning and develop the project together with the client in order to take it to the big screen. That’s the challenge I’ve been working for the last month and a half, and already many people are willing to get involved" he said. For Cárdenas youtubers have been highly exposed and they are not really that important. "I still believe that what is important is content with ideas. I think that some do interesting things, but others are too poor, and for me clients are noticing it."
