In 2015, Snap TV seeks changes in the area of production, reducing pan-regional production of documentaries and production services and concentrating in the production of movies of different genres, such as thrillers, family, and youth, which can later be distributed in the international market. These movies will be produced by MarVista with a local partner with production experience, and will feature a U.S. cast.“We have production projects ready to shoot in several countries; principally in Colombia and Brazil because of the incentives, and in Argentina because of lower costs,” said Ariel Tobi, president of SnapTV. In the area of distribution the company added new productions and family films, and the goal for 2015 is to broaden the catalog to include movies from other genres. In regards to expectations for 2015, Tobi said the U.S. Hispanic market is growing significantly due to the launch and development of new digital platforms. He says SnapTV will use all its knowledge and experience in Latin America in this new industry. The company grew in this market, where it sold 350 titles in only three years. “It’s a market that will grow a lot in the coming years, and this year achieved the cultural acceptance it lacked. Kids currently watch 90% of content on VOD and we want to capitalize on our learning’s,” said Tobi.
